UPDATE March 11, 18pm: Since March 11, 2020, the Romanian authorities have implemented measures aimed at curbing the Coronavirus epidemic. These measures will remain in effect until further notice. Passengers traveling from high risk areas (red zone) will be quarantined for 14 days in special centers when they arrive in Romania. This applies to passengers traveling from all over Italy, the province of Hubei in the Republic of China and certain areas in South Korea.

Also, all passengers arriving from other areas of China, South Korea, the whole of Iran, and the Heinsberg district of North Rhine-Westphalia (yellow areas) will be informed about the authorities' decision to impose a 14-day home isolation.

To help limit the epidemic, Wizz Air cancels flights from Memmingen / Munich West, Dortmund, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Nuremberg, Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden, Frankfurt Hahn to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, ONLY TODAY, March 11, 2020. Exceptions are flights from Frankfurt Hahn and Dortmund to Timisoara. The flights on the Madrid - Bucharest route were NOT canceled.

Initial news: Wizz Air informs passengers that due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Romanian authorities have taken the following health and safety measures to minimize the spread of the virus.

Since March 11, 2020, the Romanian authorities have implemented measures aimed at curbing the Coronavirus epidemic. These measures will remain in effect until further notice.

Passengers traveling from high risk areas (red zone) will be quarantined for 14 days in special centers when they arrive in Romania. This applies to passengers traveling throughout Italy; Hubei province from Republic of China; certain areas in South Korea; regions Hauts de France, Ile de France, Grand Est, Bourgogne France Comte and Auvergne Rhones Alpes in Franta; the Baden Wurttemberg, Bayern and Nordrhein Westfalen regions of Germany and the Madrid region of Spania.

To help limit the epidemic, Wizz Air cancels flights from Memmingen / Munich West, Dortmund, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Madrid, Nuremberg, Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden, Frankfurt Hahn to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, on March 11 2020.

Passengers with reservations affected by this change, who have made their reservations directly on wizzair.com or in the airline's mobile app, will be automatically informed by email and will be able to choose between free reprogramming, full refund or refund 120% of the initial rate in the form of WIZZ credit.

Passengers can choose from the above options by accessing the link in the email and easily selecting the best option through our individual programming platform. Passengers booking through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the company from which they purchased their tickets.

Also, all passengers arriving from other countries areas of China, France, Germany, South Korea, Spain and whole Iran (yellow areas) they will be informed about the decision of the authorities regarding the 14-day home isolation imposed by the authorities. See the image below.

Wizz Air recommends that passengers contact the authorities responsible for precise details and to confirm their eligibility and travel conditions. At the same time, passengers are asked to consider changing flights to alternative destinations or canceling them if necessary. Wizz Air reminds all passengers that they are responsible for being aware of the travel conditions related to the country of arrival before the trip.

      Yes, they reviewed the map and removed Germany and Spain. The source is still cnscbt, but the map was valid at 14:00.

      The update can also be found in the update paragraph, which I did at 18:00.

    is it still current, we booked with wizz from saturday 14th from memmingen to timisoara until tuesday,
    and we don't want to be quarantined there for 2 weeks….
