Coronavirus: Wizz Air cancels flights to Dubai (Bucharest - Dubai and Cluj - Dubai)

Wizz Air announced today, March 19, 2020, that it suspends routes between the United Arab Emirates and Romania in March 21 - April 3, 2020 inclusive. The affected routes in Romania are (Bucharest - Dubai and Cluj-Napoca - Dubai).

The decision was made because of travel restrictions imposed by authorities in the United Arab Emirates on all flights between the two countries as part of efforts to limit the spread of coronavirus.

Wizz Air cancels flights to Dubai

Today's flights between Bucharest and Dubai will be operated but due to restrictions, only citizens of the United Arab Emirates will be able to travel on flights to Dubai, while On flights to Romania, only Romanian citizens can travel.

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile application.

Customers will automatically receive in the customer account WIZZ 120% of the amount paid for the trip, an amount that can be used over the next 24 months to purchase Wizz Air products and services. Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and they will be informed about the steps required for a bank transfer or the transfer to a bank card by a separate email.

In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially. Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.

Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
