Wizz Air announced today that due to travel restrictions imposed on all foreign flights, communicated by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, as of March 15, 2020, at 00:00, the company suspends all flights to and from Poland to new information.

Travel restrictions are a measure to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting at 00:00 local time, on March 15, 2020, no foreign nationals will be allowed to enter Poland anymore, and Polish citizens arriving from abroad will be quarantined.

Wizz Air suspends all flights from Poland

In Poland, Wizz Air is based in Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw, Katowice, Poznań, Wrocław. Wizz Air operations in Poland represent about 20% of the airline's capacity.

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile application. Customers will automatically receive in the WIZZ customer account 120% of the value paid for the trip, an amount that can be used in the next 24 months for the purchase of Wizz Air products and services.

Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and they will be informed about the steps required for a bank transfer or transfer to a bank card through a separate email. In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially. Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.

Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
