The European COVID-19 certificate system has also been extended to several third countries: Northern Macedonia, Turkey and Ukraine.

Thus, starting with August 20, the EU COVID digital certificates issued by these countries are also valid within the European Union, and the European digital certificate can be used to enter the territory of the three countries. The list of countries is constantly growing and international standards are being set. This will help facilitate safe travel beyond the borders of the European Union.
