With test pilots Bruno Ferry and Fabrice Valette in hand, the 6X s / n 01 aircraft took off from the Dassault Aviation factory in Mérignac, near Bordeaux, at 14:45. This initial flight of about two and a half hours was performed according to plan, with pilots testing the maneuverability of the aircraft, engines and the behavior of key aircraft systems. The aircraft exceeded 40.000 ft and reached a speed of M0.8 before returning to base.
