It's been a while since the inauguration, but it's never too late to announce the route Doha - Baghdad operated by Qatar Airways. The Qatari operator opened a new route to Iraq, two weeks after the first flight to Erbil.
The Doha-Baghdad service was inaugurated on June 7. The route is honored with 4 direct weekly flights, according to the following schedule:
Monday and Thursday, the QR442 flight will depart from Doha at 13: 40 and arrive in Iraq's capital at 15: 55. The return flight QR443 will take off from Baghdat to 16: 55 and will land in Doha at 18: 55.
Saturday and Sunday, the QR440 flight will leave Qatar's capital at 09: 05 and arrive in Baghdad at 11: 20. The return flight QR441 will take off at 12: 20 from Iraq and reach Doha at 14: 20.
Qatar Airways will use, on routes to Iraq, Airbus A320 aircraft configured in 2 classes - 12 places in business class and 132 places in economy class.
Since the beginning of the year, Qatar Airways has launched flights to Baku (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi (Georgia), Kigali (Rwanda), Zagreb (Croatia), Erbil (Iraq) and now to Baghdad, but 2012 is only in the middle. In the meantime, Qatar Airways will launch routes to Perth, Australia (July 11th), Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (July 11th), Mombasa, Kenya (August August), Yangon, Myanmar (October October) and to the Serbian capital Belgrade.
