The second Wizz Air aircraft arrived in Craiova
Starting with March 2017, Wizz Air will open 5 new routes from Craiova base!
Wizz Air today celebrated the allocation of the second aircraft to its base in Craiova. The new Airbus A320 will support operations on the five new routes in Craiova, which will be launched this month.
As we announced, Wizz Air will open new routes from Craiova to Paris, Venice Treviso, Cologne, Madrid and Liverpool. The ticket prices start at 69 lei / segment.
2 Wizz Air planes at Craiova base
The new aircraft represents a new investment of 99 million dollars (estimated price of the aircraft), which will lead to the creation of 36 direct jobs at Wizz Air, in Craiova.
Wizz Air currently provides 10 destinations to five countries and offers 485.000 seats for sale on its Craiova, 2017 routes.
Year 2016 was very good for Wizz base in Craiova. More than 220.000 of passengers enjoyed the WIZZ routes to and from Craiova, which support more than 160 of local jobs in the aviation and tourism industries.
For the last four years, since the beginning of WIZZ operations in Craiova, the airline has been constantly investing in its ever-expanding network, offering more travel opportunities and providing the lowest passenger prices.
The first WIZZ flight took off from Craiova to London Luton in 2013, and only one year after successful operations the company has allocated a new Airbus A320 aircraft to the local airport.
