Smaug Dragon landed in Auckland and took over Boeing 777-300ER Air New Zealand (video)

Air New Zealand is a big fan. "The Hobbit", Perhaps because it was filmed in New Zealand. Last fall, Air New Zealand promoted the first part of "The Hobbit" with a special livery.

The tradition continues this year, Air New Zealand presenting a livery for the film "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug„. The dragon Smaug was painted on a Boeing 777-300ER ZK-OKO (msn 38407). The aircraft will fly to Los Angeles for the premiere of the film.

The story from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) on the journey along with the sorcerer Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and the 13 dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), in their mission to take over the Lost Kingdom, Erebor. The premiere in Romania will take place on 13 December 2013.
