Dubai - Boston with Emirates from 10 to March 2014
Emirates, one of the fastest growing airlines in the past few years and the best overall airline in 2013, has announced a new destination for the United States. From March 10 2014, Boeing 777-200LR aircraft powered by GE-90 engines will link Dubai to Boston. The aircraft will be configured in 3 classes and will have a maximum passenger capacity of 266.
The route will be operated daily following the following schedule:
EX237 DXB 09: 45 - 15: 15 BOS 77L daily
EK238 BOS 22: 55 - 19: 10 + 1 DXB 77L daily
Boston will be the 8 destination in the United States (the other seven: New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles), the 9 in North America and the 12 in America toward which will operate Emirates.
Emirates began flights to America in the year 2004, and the first destination was New York. The 7 US entry gates are part of a network of over 150 destinations, all serviced by a fleet of approximately 200 modern aircraft, including the Airbus A380 superjumbo. The Emirates Hub in Dubai has a terminal dedicated to A380 aircraft, the first in the world.
In 2013, Emirates launched new routes to Warsaw, Algiers, Tokyo Haneda and Stockholm. In the coming months, Emirates will open routes: Clark (Philippines), between Milan and New York, Conakry (Guinea), Sialkot (Pakistan), Kabul (Afghanistan), Kiev (Ukraine) and Taipei (Taiwan).
Interesting route Milan - NY. And I noticed that several companies are starting to fly to Clark - Philippines!
Well, networks are expanding. New destinations for tourism, new opportunities.
