EasyJet has announced a new hand luggage policy. Starting with February 10, 2021, easyJet passengers will be able to take only a small piece of luggage (maximum 45x36x20cm) with them on the plane for FREE, which will fit under the front seat.

This is not a new practice. Most low-cost companies have adopted this measure. RYANAIR was the first company to adopt the new hand luggage policy, then Wizz Air and many other companies positioned in the low-cost area.

Passengers who pay for a seat in front or for extra foot space will be able to take a large cabin baggage on the plane (maximum 56x45x25cm), which will be positioned in the compartment above the seat.

EasyJet Plus cardholders and FLEXI customers will also be able to have a large cabin baggage included in the reservation, subject to the space on board.

It should be noted that easyJet does not restrict hand luggage when it comes to kilograms. EasyJet aircraft can have between 42 and 63 seats in front and with extra legroom.

Passengers, who already have a booking for the scheduled trip after February 10, will be able to check in hand luggage at the current size free of charge. Those who will now buy tickets for flights scheduled after February 10, will have to take into account the new hand luggage policy.
