easyJet returned to Romania on the Bucharest - London Gatwick route, prices from 38.12 EUR
On 17 October 2013, at 13: 55, the aircraft Airbus A319 (G-EZBT) easyJet landed on Henri Coanda International Airport. This operated the inaugural flight of the route London Gatwick - Bucharest. After a break of 1.5 years, one of the most famous low-cost companies in Europe returns to the Romanian lands.
The plane was greeted with the traditional salute of water cannons, then parked in front of the presidential lounge in Otopeni. I missed this moment because I arrived shortly after 14: 00. Although it took off with 4 minutes late, EZY 5037 flight arrived in Bucharest about 35 minutes earlier. Probably the windy and humid weather in Bucharest made them fly faster. If we look after the atmosphere outside, we could say that the British felt at home.
The aircraft had on board 128 of passengers and officers of the British air carrier. The return flight had 150 passengers on board. According to these figures, easyJet started with the right and had a very good degree of loading on both flights. It is worth mentioning that the aircraft A319-100 easyJet they have a capacity of 156 of seats.
Too many are not to be said now in the beginning and it would be premature to make statistics. EasyJet officials announced rates from 38.12 EUR / segment, with all taxes included (but pay close attention to payment formalities and service costs) and hopes to transport approximately 65 000 of passengers annually. This will only be possible if all flights have 100% loading, which I don't think will happen. So in order to reach its target, easyJet must increase the frequency of flights or fly larger aircraft.

So far, I have not had the opportunity to fly with this airline, but I have a positive opinion about easyJet. According to Skytrax awards on 2013, easyJet ranks 2 among the low-cost companies in Europe. It has a fleet of 200 Airbus aircraft, flies to 135 over routes from 30 countries and has transported over 60 millions of passengers to 2012.
With the return of easyJet to Romania, competition on the Bucharest - London route will increase even more, and this could translate into better passenger rates. Currently, 2 full-service operators fly on this route (TAROM and British Airways - London Heathrow) and 3 low-cost operators (Blue Air, Wizz Air - London Luton and the easy family of brands. - London Gatwick). The great advantage of the British low-cost operator is that it will fly to Gatwick, the second major airport in the London area and located at 47.5 Km from central London. Luton is at 57 Km from central London.
