EL AL, Israel's national carrier, will start on October 1 on the Tel Aviv - Athens route. 9 weekly flights with Boeing 737-900 aircraft are scheduled.

Flights to London, Paris and New York will follow on October 12. These flights will be honored with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Although changes may occur, EL AL plans to operate 5 flights in October on the route Tel Aviv - London. On the Tel Aviv - New York route, El Al will fly 6 times a week, and on the Tel Aviv - Paris route there will be 5 weekly flights.

As of September 21, EL AL opened cargo flights to Hong Kong (HKG), Mumbai (BOM) and Shanghai (PVG), as well as the possibility to operate a series of charter flights according to market demand.

"The flights will be operated in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health," EL AL said in a statement. The Israeli airline also pointed out that entry into Israel is based solely on Israeli passports.

EL AL suspended its activities at the end of March, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Israel has closed its borders to foreign nationals. Since then, EL AL has gone through a difficult and turbulent period, operating only cargo, repatriation and charter flights. And since July, EL AL has stopped all flights.
