On March 7, 2018, a new speed record was set on a transatlantic flight, which was operated by the Embraer Legacy 450. The Embraer business jet aircraft flew on the route Portland, Maine, in the United States - Farnborough, in the United Kingdom. The record was validated by the US National Aeronautic Association (NAA) at the end of May 2018.
