In the Dubai Airshow 2017, Emirates has announced the placing of an order worth 15.1 billion. This includes 40 type aircraft Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. With this command, the commitments Emirates counts 204 wide-body aircraft.

According to statements made by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the aircraft will be delivered during the 2022-2030 period. Some of these aircraft will refresh the fleet, others will contribute to its growth. Thus, Emirates wants to maintain a young, modern fleet and increased passenger comfort.

The new aircraft will be delivered in several configurations. There will be aircraft configured in 2 and 3 classes, which will be able to carry between 240 and 330 passengers.

This order from 40 of Dreamliner aircraft comes to complement the order of 150 of 777X aircraft, which was placed at the Dubai Airshow 2013.

The partnership between Emirates and Boeing has a long history and will certainly continue for decades. Currently, Emirates has a fleet of 165 Boeing 777 aircraft.
