Today, 29 March 2018, Emirates flew with Airbus A380 to Beirut. The captain was Robert Nicholls of Great Britain and First Officer Hasib Bu Alwan, a Lebanese citizen.

On the EK957 flight, the Airbus A380 aircraft had 517 passengers and high level officials on board. The plane landed at 10: 30 in Beirut, being greeted by the traditional greeting of water gunners. The Emirates delegation was welcomed by HE Avedis Guidanian, Minister of Tourism, plus other officials from Lebanon. The return flight EK958 took off from Beirut at 14: 15, arriving in Dubai at 19: 05.

Following the reception formalities, government officials, media representatives, tourism representatives and VIPs toured the Airbus A380 aircraft. This is the A380 (A6-EUV) plane, which was received by Emirates in November 2017.
