Emirates and TAP Air Portugal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend the already existing codeshare partnership between the two airlines. The customers of both airlines will benefit from this new agreement. There will be several new routes in America, North Africa and East Asia. Emirates and TAP Air Portugal will also explore ways to improve cooperation in their frequent programs.
In addition, the two companies intend to support each other's stopover programs in Dubai and Lisbon, with Emirates also supporting TAP Air Portugal as it explores potential expansion opportunities in the UAE.
Subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, the codeshare partnership between Emirates and Tap Air Portugal will enter into force on 1 May 2021 and will offer customers full booking, ticketing and travel benefits to 70 destinations on the two airlines' networks.

Within the extended partnership, customers TAP Air Portugal they will be able to travel to popular Emirates destinations in East Asia such as Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Mumbai, Delhi, Dhaka, Male, Jakarta, Denpasar, Manila, Hanoi, as well as Barcelona and Mexico.
Emirates customers will be able to access additional domestic destinations from Portugal, as well as TAP Air Portugal flights to cities in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea-Conakry, Morocco, Tunisia, Gambia and Cape Verde.
