Emirates celebrated 25 years on the Dubai - London route
Emirates, the world's fastest-growing airline, has celebrated 25 years since the inauguration of the Dubai-London route. On July 6, 1987, Emirates inaugurated the Dubai-London Gatwick route with the Airbus A310 aircraft, just 13 months after the airline's launch. In July 1991, Emirates also flew to London Heathrow Airport.
In the 25 years of activity to Europe, the Emirates network has grown from a destination to 30 and currently operates 378 weekly flights, 55 daily flights.
The 25 years of activity to London were marked by the EK015 / 016 flights to Gatwick, operated by the Airbus A380 aircraft.
