Emirates and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) have implemented full digital verification of COVID-19 medical records related to testing and vaccination for travelers arriving in the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates customers who have performed a PCR test in Dubai can choose to check in without presenting the physical PCR test document COVID-19. Furthermore, customers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 at a DHA center in Dubai can have all documents synchronized (vaccination certificate and PCR test results performed).

The new simplified check-in procedures will allow the process of boarding passengers to be faster for those departing from Dubai International Airport. The information will then be correlated with the entry requirements in the destination country.

Emirates has implemented digital verification of passengers' medical records.

Emirates will only process relevant information, depending on the customer's entry requirements into the destination country. Upon completion of check-in formalities, information regarding COVID-19 medical records will be immediately removed from Emirates systems.

Integration comes less than two months from signing the agreement between Emirates and Dubai Health Authority and is the first such agreement between an airline and a government health authority. Integration makes Dubai one of the first cities in the world to implement full digital verification of travelers' medical records.
