Emirates has reached Erbil

On 25 June we announced that Emirates will inaugurate a new route to Iraq, to ​​Erbil. This is the 3 after Basra and Baghdad. The inaugural flight took place on 12 in August and was operated by the aircraft Airbus A340-300, configured in 3 classes, offering 267 seats.

For starters, the route Dubai - Erbil it is operated 4 times a week, on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 1 September the route will be operated daily.

Emirates EK949 will depart from Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 04: 30 and arrive at Erbil International Airport at 06: 30. Return flight EK950 will depart from Erbil at 08: 00 and arrive in Dubai at 11: 40.

The inaugural flight was received with water cannons at Erbil International Airport, according to tradition, and passengers received a special reception.

For Emirates, year 2012 is the year of expansion. From the beginning of the year until now, the Arab operator has launched routes to Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Dallas Fort Worth, Seattle, Lusaka, Harare, Ho Chi Minh City, Barcelona and Lisbon. Other destinations will soon be added to the Emirates network: Washington DC, Adelaide, Lyon, Phuket and Warsaw.

    is there anything to hear if Emirates is to fly to Bucharest? Emirates, not the low cost Fly Dubai!

    As far as I know, Emirates will not yet operate flights to Bucharest. FlyDubai will be joining in October. Let's see if the Emirates will be needed in the future :). So far TAROM is doing a good job on this race! :)
