According to airlineroute.net, Emirates has abandoned its plan to open the Dubai-Panama City route. Initially, the flights were announced starting with February 1, 2016, then the deadline was extended until at 31 March 2016. Due to delays, Emirates has decided to take this route out of the equation for the time being.
According to statistics, Emirates was to operate the longest flight in the world, on the route Dubai - Panama City, estimated at 17 hours and 20 minutes. Until new information, Emirates is already operating the longest direct flight on the Dubai - Auckland route, inaugurated on March 1, 2016.
