Emirates, the fastest growing airline in the last 15 years ago, flies from 1 in August with Airbus A380 in Amsterdam. Emirates is recognized as the largest order company for this type of aircraft and currently operates 22 units to 19 destinations (Amsterdam is the 19), and by the end of 2012 it will still inaugurate 2.

The EK 0147 flight will depart daily from Dubai to Amsterdam at 08: 25 and will land on Schiphol Amsterdam at 13: 30. The return flight EK 0148 will take off at 15: 30 from Amsterdam and will land in Dubai at 23: 59. Often, it will probably exceed midnight. The hours are local!

By introducing the A380 aircraft, Emirates is introducing approximately 2000 new seats on this route per week. This will stimulate tourism between the two countries, but also the business side.

On the Dubai-Amsterdam route, the aircraft is configured in 3 classes: 427 seats in economy class, 76 in business class and 14 private apartments in First Class. Passengers can enjoy the on-board multimedia system, as well as high-speed Wi-Fi.

Emirates is the largest operator of A380. It has so far transported about 10 million passengers and has flown over 150 million Km since the first 2008 flight. Over 3000 employees work on board these aircraft or on the ground. Shortly, the first terminal in the world dedicated only to A380 aircraft will open in Dubai.

The 22 of A380 aircraft have the following destinations: Amsterdam, Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, London Heathrow, Manchester, Munich, New York JFK, Paris, Rome, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Toronto, Tokyo, Melbourne from 1 October and Moscow from 1 December.

Emirates has a fleet of 178 aircraft and flies to 120 from destinations in 74 countries. He also has 225 in charge of airplanes totaling 68 of billions of dollars, among them are 68 of A380. In a few months, Emirates will launch 5 destinations: Erbil, Washington DC, Lyon, Adelaide and Warsaw.
