ITA - Italy Air Transport - chose Airbus aircraft: 28 aircraft ordered (10 x A330neo; 7 x A220; 11 x A320neo)

A strategic agreement has been reached between ITA (Italia Trasporto Aereo) and Airbus for the purchase of 28 aircraft to be delivered by the end of the first quarter of 2022. The airline has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for the purchase of ten Airbus A330neo, seven regional Airbus A220 aircraft and eleven Airbus A320neo aircraft, the latter to be delivered after the completion of the business plan.

ITA has also signed an agreement with Air Lease Corporation to lease 31 additional next-generation Airbus aircraft. Overall, the airline explained that it intends to lease up to 56 Airbus aircraft, including 13 Airbus A350-900 aircraft and 43 regional and medium-sized aircraft. The plan is for ITA to have a fleet of 2025 aircraft by 105.
