On 14 August 2012, in Seattle, Boeing celebrated the delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the operator Ethiopian Airlines. On 7 August Airlines Travel informed you that Ethiopian Airlines is preparing to take possession of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The big day has arrived and the Ethiopian African operator is marking a new beginning in their development plan - Vision 2025. As we mentioned in the previous article, Ethiopian Airlines is the second company in the world to enjoy the services of a Boeing 787, after ANA (All Nippon Airways).

If we take a look at the evolution of the operator, we notice that Ethiopian Airlines was the first company on the black continent to operate a Boeing 777-200LR, which commanded the 777 Freighter and the Boeing 787. At present, the Ethiopian fleet consists of 42 of Boeing aircraft (737, 757, 767, 777 and the new 787) for passenger transport and 6 aircraft (757, MD11 and 747) of cargo type.

Ethiopian Airlines is a Star Alliance member and operates flights to 85 from domestic and international destinations.
