Ethiopian Airlines has also ordered a Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range)

Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines has announced an order for one 777-200LR (Longer Range) Worldliner, it is to join the fleet of five 777-200LR. The order is valued at about 276 million dollars, at the list price.

The Ethiopian operator wants to expand its network of long-haul flights. Boeing 777-200LR offers a very good passenger / passenger ratio and can fly on long and very long flights.

Ethiopian Airlines is the first African airline to operate Boeing 777-200LR, 10 787 Dreamliner and 777 Freighter. Ethiopian currently operates 737, 757, 767 and 777 passenger aircraft and 757, MD11 and 747 cargo aircraft.

    Some time ago Ethiopia was the poorest country - images of children dying of hops were on all news channels - now order, maybe the best planes !!!! I don't know how others can and can't we ?????

    It is an emerging country, in the process of development. They need large aircraft for long flights. TAROM does not operate long-haul, but it must remain profitable!
