Etihad Airways plans to resume regular passenger service between Australia and the United Kingdom later this month. Obviously not by non-stop / non-stop flight, but by stop in Abu Dhabi.

According to existing information. Etihad Airways would resume flights from its hub in Abu Dhabi to Australia on May 15. And on May 21, he will fly from Abu Dhabi to the UK. For the beginning, a single frequency will be operated Melbourne - Abu Dhabi - London.

For the beginning, it will fly with Boeing 777-300ER, and from May 21, Boeing 787-9 will be introduced. As transit flights to Abu Dhabi are still prohibited, Etihad Airways will use the same aircraft for flights on the route Melbourne - Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi - London Heathrow, with passengers remaining on board in the United Arab Emirates.
