Evacuation of passengers from Boeing 777-200ER Asiana Airlines aircraft
An eyewitness was surprised in the pictures the evacuation of passengers from the Boeing 777-200ER Asiana Airlines aircraft. This one missed the landing at the airport in San Francisco, hitting the dam at the end of the runway. The 214 Asiana flight, from Seoul to San Francisco, transports 307 persons (16 crew members and 291 passengers). Following the accident, 2 people died, 182 were injured, and 123 passengers escaped without injury.
Notice how only 2 slides open, and passengers run as far as the plane. According to this footage, the evacuation was made during the golden 90 seconds. But the evacuation was made difficult. Only 2 slides from 6 were used.
