Farnborough International Airshow is a large international fair dedicated to the aerospace industry. The event is organized at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, England and lasts 7 days.

During this period, manufacturers of aircraft, accessories and services display their latest achievements. It is one of the most important fairs of the year, known especially for the presentations of new technologies, projects, aircraft, but also a good opportunity to sign new contracts. It is the equivalent of Computex in the IT&C world.

Farnborough International Airshow 2012 started with force the parade of the British Red Arrows acrobatic band and an Avro Vulcan bomber. Airbus presents the newest aircraft and here we mention A380 under livery Malaysia Airlines, A400M and Portuguese Air Force C295. Korean Air unveiled the new Boeing 737-900ER again Boeing brought the first 787 Dreamliner under Qatar livery.

Summary of the first day at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012

Airbus has announced the expanded A330-300, a two-color, long-haul aircraft. This will have the maximum take-off capacity of 240 tonnes. Aircraft A330-300 of 240 tone will start operating from 2015.

The first day at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 also brought the first orders. Arkia Israel Airlines has signed for four Airbus A321neo and Air Lease Corporation commissioned 75 from Boeing 737 MAX units.
