In light of Samsung's recent incidents and problems with Galaxy Note 7 devices, the Federal Aviation Administration recommends that passengers not use and load these devices on board aircraft. Also, do not carry them in the hold baggage.

There are airlines that have already banned the use and loading of these mobile terminals on board aircraft. Singapore Airlines is one of those companies, and the decision was made today, September 9 2016.

The IATA and FAA statements do not require airlines to take action. They have an informative role, and each airline has the freedom to create its own rules.
