On 1 June 2015, the first Airbus A350 XWB Vietnam Airlines successfully operated the first flight. It was carried out in Toulouse, the Airbus base. The aircraft will enter the final stage of production, including cabin completion, as well as more ground and flight tests. The plane, which will be rented from AerCap, is scheduled for delivery later this year.

Vietnam Airlines will become Asia's first airline with Airbus A350 XWB in the fleet and the second largest operator in the world. Vietnam Airlines will acquire 14 A350 aircraft, 10 directly ordered from Airbus and four under leases. The Vietnamese air carrier will use the new aircraft on long flights, and the first destination will be Paris.

The A350 XWB is the newest aircraft in the Airbus portfolio and a widebody aircraft dedicated to medium, long and very long flights. Airbus A350 XWB is the most modern and efficient aircraft, setting new standards in terms of passenger experience, operational efficiency and cost / effectiveness for airlines. A350 XWB has received firm orders for 780 aircraft from 40 customers.

I had the opportunity to see this aircraft parked on the platform of the Airbus base in Toulouse. It was bathing under the sun in a distant corner.
