Last days, Kuwait Airways unveiled the first Boeing 777-300ER and the new livery. The aircraft is part of one order from 10 units, which was placed in December 2014.

The event took place at Seattle's Boeing base, and the aircraft presented is registered 9K-AOC. By receiving this aircraft, Kuwait Airways marks the first steps in the development and modernization of the fleet. At the same time, these are the first steps towards achieving the objectives of the airline transformation strategy.

By introducing new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft into commercial service, Kuwait Airways will be able to open new long-haul routes. New passenger services will also be developed.

To upgrade the fleet, Kuwait Airways also has orders placed for 10 Airbus A350-900 and 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft. They will be delivered starting with 2019.

The Kuwait Airways fleet currently has 10 x A320-200, 5 x A330-200, 4 x A340-300, 2 x Boeing 777-200 and a Boeing 747-400.
