First Embraer E195-E2 Azul was delivered on 12 September 2019

On 12 September 2019, Embraer delivered the first Embraer E195-E2 Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. The aircraft was delivered to AerCap, the largest aircraft leasing company in the world.

And AerCap delivered it under operational leasing to Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, the launch air carrier for this model. Azul has placed a firm order for 51 of Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with other 5s being delivered by the end of the year.

Embraer E195-E2 Azul aircraft will be configured in a 136 seating class. They will be used on different domestic and international routes. E195-E2 has a range of up to 4800 kilometers. It offers increased comfort to passengers, while also coming with a reduced fuel consumption of up to 25.4% / place compared to the previous generation of E195 aircraft.

In April 2019, Embraer E195-E2 model received certification from 3 aviation regulatory authorities: ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency - Brazil); FAA (US Federal Aviation Administration) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). With this certification, the E195-E2 received the right to fly in Brazil, the United States and Europe.

Compared to the E195 model, the new Embraer E195-E2 comes equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, 75% of the aircraft's systems being redesigned. It benefits from a redesigned landing gear, much more efficient engines, much better aerodynamic systems than the previous generation. Propulsion is provided by 2 Pratt & Whitney GTF PW1900G engines
