Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport (AIHCB) grows from month to month. At the end of July, AIHCB announced the processing of over 1 million passengers in a calendar month, for the first time in the airport's history.
Border control points on AIHCB
In view of the large number of passengers passing through Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport (AIHCB) during this period, the National Airports Company Bucharest (CNAB) took on Friday, August 19, a series of operational measures to support the activity of the Police of Border AIHCB, which is facing an agglomeration of the border crossing point on the outflow from Romania, during peak hours of air traffic.
Thus, in collaboration with the authorized institutions, the CNAB management ordered the reorganization and repositioning of some counters for the control of the state border crossing, which generated the optimization of the level of control for the current Border Police posts.
At the same time, in order to support the activity of the Border Police, the CNAB teams have set up an additional counter for the control of the state border, creating two new border control posts, which have already become operational today. Also, during August, CNAB will set up two other counters, which will generate four new control posts.
Also today, the CNAB management ordered the reconfiguration of the entire area assigned to the Border Police, allocating additionally approximately 100 sqm for reorganizing the flows of passengers accessing the border checkpoints. Thus, by fluidizing the flows of passengers, the possible agglomeration that may occur during peak hours will be avoided,
