The British airline Flybe, which went bankrupt in March, is about to return to flight in early 2021. It was taken over by Thyme Opco, a company controlled by the investment fund Cyrus Capital, one of its former shareholders.

Flybe, which was one of the largest regional airlines in Europe, went bankrupt in early March. The new coronavirus crisis was in its infancy, but it hit the British airline hard.

Prior to its bankruptcy, Flybe carried approximately 8 million passengers a year and operated at 81 airports in the UK and Europe. It had over 2.000 employees at the time of the bankruptcy.

At the moment we only have a press release and some hopes given by EY, the new director of the company. But it would be great for FlyBe to return to flight.
