FlyDubai has ordered 111 billion-dollar Boeing aircraft (Dubai Airshow 11.4)

On 17 November, at the aeronautical fair Dubai Airshow 2013, FlyDubai has ordered 111 Boeing aircraft worth $ 11.4 billion. The order includes 100 aircraft 737 MAX and 11 aircraft Boeing 737-800 Next Generation. This is Boeing's largest order for single-color aircraft in the Middle East.

The low-cost carrier in the United Arab Emirates continues its expansion with a fleet consisting solely of Boeing aircraft. Flydubai placed the first order of 50 units 737-800 Next Generation, in 2008. The first aircraft was received at 2009 and was the first company in the world to operate a Boeing Sky-equipped aircraft, an improved onboard experience. To date, Flydubai has received 33 from 737-800 Next Generation aircraft.

At the moment, Flydubai operates 1.200 weekly flights to 68 destinations. In 2012, Flydubai carried 5,1 millions of passengers and became the second largest airline, by the number of passengers operating from Dubai International.

Flydubai operates flights to / from Bucharest.
