FlyDubai withdraws flight number FZ981 from March 22 2016
Following the tragic plane crash, which took place on 19 in March, FlyDubai will withdraw flight number FZ981. Starting March 22, 2016, flights Dubai - Rostov-on-Don will have the codes FZ935 / 936. Flights will continue to operate after the schedule:
FZ935 Dubai (DXB) 21: 45 - 01: 20 + 1 Rostov-on-Don (ROV) / Boeing 737-800 / Tuesdays and Fridays
FZ936 Rostov-on-Don (ROV) 02: 20 - 07: 30 Dubai (DXB) Boeing 737-800 / Wednesdays and Saturdays
On 19 March, a plane crash rocked Russia. A Boeing 737-800 FlyDubai (A6-FDN), operating the FZ981 flight, crashed in Rostov-on-Don, southwest Russia. As a result of the accident, 62 people (55 passengers and 7 crew members) lost their lives. The crew consisted of citizens from Cyprus (captain), Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Spain and Seychelles. According to FlyDubai, most of the passengers were from Russia (44 persons), but also 8 Ukrainians, 2 Indians and 1 Uzbekistan.
