On 5 March 2014, Garuda Indonesia joined SkyTeam and became the 20 full member. Garuda added Jakarta as an alternative gateway to Southeast Asia, as well as 40 of unique destinations on the SkyTeam network.
As a mutual service, passengers Garuda Indonesia they will be able to travel more efficiently and faster on the network SkyTeam consisting of over 1000 destinations. The 20 SkyTeam members are: Aeroflot, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, Saudia, TAROM, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.
