At the end of January 2019, due to the coronavirus epidemic, Air France and KLM announced the suspension of flights to mainland China. The measure was initially taken until February 9.

Following a reassessment of the situation and based on the information held, Air France decided to extend the suspension of services to Beijing and Shanghai until March 15, 2020.

Starting March 16, 2020, depending on the evolution of the situation in China, Air France and KLM intend to gradually resume operations to and from Shanghai and Beijing, alternating daily flights to the two destinations.

Thus, Shanghai and Beijing will be served daily from Europe, via Paris by Air France or Amsterdam by KLM. A normal flight schedule should resume from March 29, 2020.

For now, the service to / from Wuhan will remain suspended until March 28, 2020 inclusive.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Air France monitors the situation in China in real time and works closely with national and international health authorities. For Air France and KLM, the health of customers and shipping staff are a priority.
