EL AL has begun to expand its operational network. After a 6-month break, EL AL started operating cargo flights, and in October it also started operating passenger flights.

In October-November, EL AL will fly to Europe to Athens, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Kiev, Belgrade and Zurich. All other flights are suspended until November 30.

Taking a look at the EL AL booking system, I noticed that the first flight to Bucharest will be on December 3rd. And this is not all. Starting with December 3, EL AL will operate flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays.

In addition to reducing the number of flights, EL AL also reduced transport capacity by introducing the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. In good pre-pandemic times, EL AL flew to Bucharest with a Boeing 737-900 and even widebody aircraft.

We hope that these flights will be resumed on that date, without further blockages and delays. But we do not know what will be until December, the COVID-19 pandemic being very dynamic all over the world.
