EL AL Israel Airlines owns the first Boeing 737-900ER in the fleet (video)
Today, 9 October 2013, Boeing delivered the first 737-900ER to the airline EL AL Israel Airlines. It is part of an order of 6 units placed by the Israeli company, plus two optional ones.
Boeing 737-900ER aircraft will replace the old 757 aircraft, whose production was discontinued in 2004. 737-900ER can carry up to 172 passengers in a two-class configuration and has a range of approximately 6000 km. The new aircraft will benefit from Boeing Sky Interior. Each chair comes equipped with a laptop and USB port socket.
The newest member of the 737 family, the Boeing 737-900ER can carry up to 26 more passengers compared to the 737-900. Flight autonomy was increased by about 1000 km.
