Starting with 31 March 2019, Finnair will resume flights on the Helsinki - Los Angeles route. They will be honored with Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft.
In the summer season 2019, Finnair announced the resumption of flights on the route Helsinki - Los Angeles. They will be honored with A350XWB aircraft, being the first destination in the United States to be regularly served by Finnair with this type of aircraft.
Los Angeles will be Finnair's 5 destination in the United States, along with New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami. The approximate flight time will be 11 hours to Los Angeles and 10 hours and 30 minutes to Helsinki. 3 weekly flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays.

The new Helsinki - Los Angeles route will be operated under the joint transatlantic program, which was concluded between Finnair, American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia, all members of Oneworld. The four airlines currently operate more than 100 daily round-trip flights between Europe and North America.
