HiSky will start operating three external flights from Baia Mare to Milan, London and Paris. Up to two flights a week to each destination will be operated. This is possible thanks to the state aid scheme approved by the European Commission. The scheme provides for grants of up to 800.000 euros for the airline that will operate flights on at least two new international routes from Maramures International Airport
Starting with December 17, 2021, two international flights will be operated, namely Baia Mare - Bergamo (Milan - Italy) and Baia Mare - Stansted (London - England). The third international route, Baia Mare - Paris Beauvais (Paris - France), will be operated from April 8, 2022.
HiSky is one of the airlines that has "got used" to the runway of Baia Mare airport, operating several charters to Egypt - Hurghada in the summer season 2020. Baia Mare authorities wanted to specify that charter flights will be operated in 2021 .
These foreign flights, long awaited by the people of Maramureș, represent an opportunity for the development of tourism and the economy of our county.
