From July 2, 2017, Cathay Pacific will inaugurate the Hong Kong - Barcelona route. This will be the second destination in Spain, after Madrid. Cathay Pacific will operate 4 weekly flights with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

According to the Cathay Pacific reservation system, the route seems to be seasonal, operated between July 2, 2017 - October 27, 2017.

A350-900-Cathay Pacific-Sun

Cathay Pacific currently owns a fleet of 126 widebody aircraft, of which 10 are A350-900. Destinations served by A350 XWB aircraft include: Paris, London-Gatwick, Rome, Düsseldorf, Bangkok, Osaka, Taipei, Melbourne and Auckland.

The aircraft are configured in 3 classes and can accommodate: 38 passengers in Business Class, 28 passengers in Premium Economy and 214 passengers in Economy Class.

The Cathay Pacific network, together with that of the Cathay Dragon subsidiary, has over 180 destinations in 51 countries.
