At the end of July, I was visiting at Private hotel, a minimalist haven for business and relaxation. My experience in this wonderful hotel was beyond expectations. The rooms are comfortable, the finishes are made to the smallest detail, the minimalist architecture is pleasant, and the staff is always smiling.

I haven't traveled much, but I have seen several hotels in Romania and abroad, and the Privo hotel rises to 4-star international standards in many ways. Maybe we should work on the facilities. It has no pool and the fitness room is small. Otherwise I have nothing to blame them for. After a while, I was able to enjoy a very good mattress and I had a restful sleep, this after a memorable evening with wine tasting and selected dishes.

I am surprised that the young entrepreneur Adina Plopeanu had the courage to open this family business in Tîrgu Mures, a hotel market with over 800 of rooms classified at two, three and four stars. I hope their strategy pays off. We need such hotels in Romania.

My opinion is subjective and based on my tastes and travel experience. So you may not agree with me, but go ahead and convince yourself. Take a look at the photo gallery as well.

Below you have the press release, which includes information on investments, design, construction, architecture, equipment, etc.

The Privo hotel complex combines, in an original way, different accommodation spaces, classified at four and five stars, as a result of an investment of 7 million euros. After the "soft opening" of October 2013, the results of the hotel for the first six months of 2014 are entered in the estimated line, registering a turnover of 318.000 euros.

In the landscape of the hotel market in Tîrgu Mures, which has over 800 rooms classified at two, three and four stars, the Privo ensemble - composed of the Privo hotel (40 rooms), a new building with futuristic architecture and Villa Csonka (6 rooms), a historic Art Nouveau building, both set in a 3.500 sq m park - bears a distinctive note of originality.

“The Privo project started 5 years ago, based on the need for a new approach to the local tourism offer and is a new concept to international standards with exclusive services. It is a family business, like the others we have, and the results obtained so far make me believe that we will achieve a turnover of about 900.000 euros next year. I inherited the entrepreneurial spirit from my father, Emil Morariu ”, says Adina Plopeanu.

The young entrepreneur has with her husband several businesses, including the construction company, Construct Mapcom, office buildings and a logistics park, all in the city of Tîrgu Mures. For his part, the businessman Emil Morariu is one of the six former shareholders of the brewery Beer Mures, acquired in 2008 by Heineken, for the amount of 150 million.

“Privo is the dream of my children and I am proud that I was able to participate in its achievement. I believe in this project and I hope that all the guests who will cross our threshold feel this ”, says Emil Morariu.

The Privo Hotel is a minimalist haven for business and relaxation, where the design proposes a warm and welcoming dialogue with the historical ensemble formed by the modern hotel, Csonka Villa and the park with an area of 3.500 sqm. The architecture and arrangement of the new building of the hotel were thought minimalist, with calm and stretched surfaces. A number of natural and high-tech materials, such as stone, exposed concrete, glass, screen printing or corian, accentuate the contemporary dialogue with the original space. The restaurant, the wine bar, the conference rooms and the spa are some of the elements through which the hotel seeks to offer guests the perfect symbiosis between work and relaxation.

Symbol of the Privo concept, visible from all interior spaces, Villa Csonka, in Secession style marks the dialogue between old and new. Famous photographer Géza Csonka built this house at the beginning of the 20th century, one of the few Art Nouveau buildings in the city. Restored during the 2011-2013 period, Csonka Villa represents the nucleus around which the new hotel was built and can be admired from all the interior halls of the hotel. Furnished with original Thonet and Art Deco refurbished pieces, over 100 years old, the villa has three double rooms and three deluxe apartments with direct access from the hotel reception, each of them having a unique design.

Hotel Privo is at 13 Km from Transylvania International Airport, Targu Mures, distance that can be traveled in about 20 minutes by car.
