The check-in and check-out processes at the hotel will no longer be the same, but neither will the access to certain spaces or the possibility of payment at the reception, due to the application of the biometric process.

Face2travel, a company specializing in the introduction of facial recognition programs for hotels, founded by hoteliers and made up of technological partners with extensive experience, has reached an agreement with Newhotel Software - a leader in Portugal and Latin America - to implement this technology in over 4.500 units.

Being a project designed by hoteliers for hoteliers, it offers two differentiating values: improving the customer experience and optimizing resources. In the first, Face2travel presents its innovative concept "Biometric Customer Experience", with which it seeks four objectives:

  • Inspiration: the digitization of check-in processes, the transformation of the queue problem into a futuristic experience and which will be a reason for the choice of a hotel by the potential client, so it will be a commercial lever as a differentiating element.
  • Surprise: it will give the customer the "wow" check-in effect in less than 10 seconds.
  • Relaxation: the removal of bracelets and other elements of inconvenient use for the client for access to different areas of the hotel because his face thus becomes his identifier.
  • Loyalty: virtual check-out is the solution, so that the last image that the hotel customer takes is not a 10-minute queue. Face2travel technology is encrypted with algorithms to meet all deprivation of security standards for the next experience.

Digitizing processes allows the elimination of actions that annoy the customer, such as queues, but also saving resources for the hotel, consumables, among others - paper, toner, plastics, etc. This process will also make it easier for the receptionist to become a host who greets the guest at a virtual reception located anywhere in the lobby.
