Iasi Airport reports over 200 passengers in Q000
Iasi International Airport ended the first quarter of this year with a number of 218.044 passengers, remaining in second place among regional airports, according to official data transmitted by AAR (Romanian Airports Association). The increase in traffic is 376%, compared to the figures for the first three months of last year, when there were 45.808 passengers. In terms of the number of landings and takeoffs, 2.393 movements were recorded in the first quarter of this year, 172 percent more than in the same period of 2021.
A very large advance in passenger air traffic is also observed at the end of March of this year: 119.387 people transited Iasi Airport, their number being increasing by 749% compared to the same period of 2021, when there were 14,063 passengers, and by 25% compared to air traffic in March 2019, of 95.405 people. At the same time, last month 1.263 landings and takeoffs were reported in Iasi, a number 310 percent higher than the same month last year and 30 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
