In the autumn of 2014, Blue Air made an inspired move and launched the first base outside Romania. Has allocated an aircraft for Turin-Caselle airport and started operating flights on the Turin - Catania route, then to Bari. The start is always more difficult, but things have changed unexpectedly and the Blue Air base in Turin has grown. Currently, Blue Air operates regular flights to Catania, Bari and Ibiza.

But Blue Air plans are ambitious for 2016 and have announced 8 new routes to operate during the 2016 summer schedule, based in Turin. As new destinations, they will be: Athens, Lamezia Terme, London, Madrid, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca, Stuttgart and Rome.

In 2016, we will be able to travel from Bucharest via Turin to the destinations mentioned above. They are working at an advantageous schedule and some technical details are still to be developed. Ibiza, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca should no longer be such exclusive and expensive destinations.

But the Turin base is not the only one on the outside. Earlier this year, after the bankruptcy of Cyprus Airways, Blue Air took advantage of the situation and opened base in Larnaca. Here we do not have any news about new routes, the traditional flights to Athens and Thessaloniki being available in the summer schedule of 2016. The frequency of flights on the route Larnaca - Athens will increase from 10/7 to 14/7.

According to the information provided by Blue Air, in 2015 (until September 30) they registered revenues of approximately 30 million EURO from external bases. As growth will be accentuated in 2016, revenues will be tailor-made. Of course, Blue Air!
