In 2015, Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest registered 9.274.629 of passengers

In 2015, the Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB) registered, on the two airports of the Capital - Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport (AIHCB) and Bucharest Băneasa-Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (AIBB AV), a record number of 9.287.554 passengers and 108.566 aircraft movements (landings and takeoffs). Of the total, 9.274.629 passengers and 97.218 aircraft movements were registered on the AIHCB. In 2015, the number of passengers increased by 11,6% compared to the previous year.

The evolution of the number of passengers on the two airports of the National Company Bucharest Airports exceeds the general tendency registered at European level. In addition, the number of aircraft movements has registered a substantial increase in the airports of the Capital, ahead of this trend the European trend. Thus, last year, the number of aircraft movements at Bucharest airports increased by 6,4% compared to the same period of the year 2014.

At Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport, 31 currently operates airlines, which transports passengers to 70 from destinations.

There are no estimates for 2016, but a dynamic year is announced, with many new routes, which would lead to an increase in the number of passengers. Will the 10 million threshold be exceeded?
