Topics of interest in the aeronautical field, such as the development of the airport infrastructure, the development of passenger terminals and cargo terminals, the draft of the new Air Code and the update of the Transport Master Plan were included on the agenda.

At the same time, aspects were discussed regarding the safety and security of civil aviation, the financing of airports through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020 and the attracting of European funds for airports through the Cohesion Policy between 2021-2027.

We know that in 2019, passenger traffic at airports in Romania has exceeded 23 million passengers, up 6% from 2018. And estimates show that traffic will double in the next 15 years. That means an average increase of 4% every year.

According to one analyzed ZF, the first 5 airports in Romania totaled about 21 million passengers. And we are talking here about Otopeni (Bucharest), Cluj, Timisoara, Iasi and Sibiu.

Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport (Otopeni), the largest in the country, had 2019 million passengers in 14,7, up 6,3% on the previous year.

    Can someone from Otopeni make an update of the destination map? It's the same as in 2016. Maybe because they don't have competition.
