As of today, 11 June, the people of Iasi and Moldovan residents have the opportunity to travel by plane on the direct route Iasi - Cluj-Napoca (and return). The route is operated by the national company Tarom. It has a frequency of three flights per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).

After Blue Air gave up the triangular route Iasi - Cluj - Timisoara, TAROM speculated on the opportunity and sought to cover these flight segments. Today, 11 June 2018, TAROM inaugurated the Cluj - Iasi route.

The launch of the route was marked by a press conference in the departure area of ​​the T2 terminal, attended by representatives of the company Tarom, the management of Iasi Airport and the Iasi County Council, as well as representatives of the local IT and business environment.

The guests gave speeches, and at the end they cut the themed cake. The moment of today culminated with the baptism of the Tarom aircraft, both at the landing and at the take-off on / from Iasi Airport. The flights will be operated, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to the schedule:

TODAY 14: 15 - 15: 35 CLUJ - on Mondays
CLUJ 12: 35 - 13: 50 NOW - on Mondays
TODAY 19: 00 - 20: 20 CLUJ - Wednesdays, Fridays
CLUJ 17: 20 - 18: 35 IAII - Wednesdays, Fridays

Rates start at 40 euro for a round trip, including a hand luggage of 10 kg, a luggage hold of 23 kg, catering on board and check-in. Passengers can purchase tickets from the company's website:, through their own agencies and Tarom partners.

Currently, from Iasi Airport, Tarom operates direct flights to London (Luton), Tel Aviv, Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca.
