Inauguration of the new Terminal Departures of the Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest - in figures and images

Today, in a festive setting, Bucharest National Airports Company inaugurated the new one Departures Terminal of Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest. It is part of the third phase of the program "Development and Modernization of the Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest".

The work began in the summer of 2011 and lasted for 17 months, a record for Romania. The new Terminal has an area of 19 600 of square meters. It is equipped with 52 of check-in desks (OTP total airport capacity: 104 counters), 8 gates for national / schengen flights (total airport capacity: 32 gates - 14 gates with boarding / disembarking deck), 8 does not open self check-in (total airport capacity: 20 of counters), living room VIP in the boarding area. Now the airport will be able to process up to 4500 people per hour.

Terminal Nou Aeroport Otopeni — New Terminal Otopeni Airport

The new Terminal has 4 built levels: basement, ground floor, two floors. The subsoil is for luggage, the ground floor is for check-in, security control, boarding and commercial spaces, and the two floors are for the offices of the airlines and CNAB. All the work cost 52 millions of EUR, money from the CNAB sources.

The most important aspect, starting with 7 November, domestic TAROM flights will be operated from the new terminal. The arrivals terminal will also be upgraded by the end of this year. There will be two levels for the arrival of passengers and 6 luggage pick up lanes.

It seems that from today there will be no endless queues at the Departure Terminal of the Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest. Maybe something in the Schengen area.
